KREATED Start a Project

How the workactually runs.

Five steps. What happens in each, where you sign off, and what is needed from you.

The five steps

Five steps, each one approved

Each step after the first ends with something you approve. Nothing moves forward on an assumption.

  1. Understand

A conversation about the business before the website: what the work is, who buys it, how they find you now, and what currently goes wrong between someone finding you and someone calling.

    You receive
A written account of what is wrong and what it is costing, in plain language rather than an audit dump.
    You approve
    Nothing yet. This is diagnosis.
    Needed from you
An honest account of what is not working, and access to anything that already exists.
  2. Decide

Scope becomes a written document: which pages exist, what each one is for, what is included, what is explicitly not, and what it costs. Most website projects take about 1–2 weeks from here, depending on scope, feedback, and how quickly the content and assets arrive.

    You receive
A scope in writing: what is being built, what is not, in what order, at what price.
    You approve
The scope and the price, in writing, before any work begins.
    Payment
50% to start. Larger or custom projects may use milestones defined in the proposal.
  3. Build

Structure first, then design, then the build, by the same person, so what is drawn is what ships. Responsive from the start rather than adapted afterward. Copy is worked through with you as the pages take shape rather than poured in at the end.

    You receive
The site itself, designed and built, plus the copy work agreed in the scope.
    You approve
The page structure, then the design, then the copy.
    Needed from you
Photographs, service details, and timely answers. This is the step where a slow week costs a week.
  4. Verify

Checked across real screen sizes and browsers. Measurement is wired in before launch, not after: GA4 with form submissions and phone taps recorded as conversions, along with titles, headings, clean URLs, a sitemap and Search Console.

    You receive
A launched site with its search foundations, tracking and profile work in place, checked rather than assumed.
    You approve
The finished site, before it goes live.
    Payment
    The remaining 50%, before launch.
  5. Improve

A Growth project includes a review about 30 days after launch: indexing, tracking, and any early friction. Market Leader adds a second at about 60 days. Beyond that, continuing work is a separate decision rather than an automatic renewal.

    You receive
A record of what changed and what it did, and the next thing worth doing.
    You approve
    Whether anything continues at all.
    What is committed to
The work, and a straight account of what it did. Positions in search are Google’s to give, and nobody can promise them.

What changes by service

The steps hold, the contents change

  • Web Design and Website Redesign: the full five steps as written above. A redesign spends less time in Understand, because a great deal is already answerable by looking at what exists.
  • Local SEO: Decide and Build happen inside a website project; Improve becomes the ongoing program rather than a review. The ongoing programs are Local Presence at $500/mo, Local Growth at $900/mo and Market Expansion from $1,500/mo.
  • Google Business Profile: a one-time pass through the profile, sold on its own or inside a Growth project. It is not monthly management, and Verify means checking the profile and the website agree.
  • Brand Strategy: Understand and Decide carry more weight, because the decisions made there are the deliverable. Build produces the system rather than a site.
  • Answer Engine Optimization: the audit is Understand, the ordered fixes are Decide, the foundation is Build and the re-check is Verify.
  • Social Media Management: Decide is the set-up and the monthly plan, Build is the footage and the edit, and Improve is the posting that continues each month.
